Kim Tonja Dale-Thornton, native Mobilian, was born January 25, 1964 and departed this life July 31, 2013.
After graduating from John L. LeFlore High School in 1982, she attended Bishop State Jr. College and acquired a degree in Mortuary Science at Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston, TX.
She was a member of Ebenezer AME Zion Church.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Lee Dale, Sr., former employee of Christian Benevolent F.H., grandparents and two brothers,
She leaves to celebrate the memory of her life: a loving husband, Cyrus Thornton; a dedicated mother, Fannie Dale; four sisters, Maria Carstarphen (Alonzo), Glenda Gantt (Samuel), A. Faye Boykins- Calhoun (Eric) & Michelle Ray Arceneaux; five brothers, Christopher Ray (Andrea), Daron Ray (Pamela), Jervonta Dale, Jakari Dale & Lyric Dale; aunt, Mattie Bullard (Wilson); uncles, Arnold Singleton, Nolan McSwain Singleton, Jr. (Betty), Clemon Jimerson (Alma) ; three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 from 10:00 until the 11:am funeral hour at Mt. Olive AME Zion Church,701 Bella Street, Prichard, AL 36610. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Special thanks to Cecil Simpson, Johnnie Campbell, Allen Rice and the Staff of Christian Benevolent Funeral Home.

I'm sorry for your loss both Fannie and Cyrus and to your extended families.
