1960 ~ 2011
With strength and courage Kim Darby passed away, surrounded by her loving family, after a seven year battle with breast cancer. Kim was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on March 24, 1960 to Karen Mangino and Kenneth Prust. She spent the majority of her life in Northern California's Gold Country and graduated from Placer High School in Auburn, California. She came to Utah in 1993 with her husband Jeff and later that year they had their daughter Caitlin. She loved horses, animals, camping, skiing, and spending time with her family. She resided in Draper, Utah in her beautiful country home and loved her work at the Skaggs Catholic Center. Kim had an incredible zest for life. The love she had for her family and friends was undeniable. Everyone whoever met Kim will forever remember her as a fun and loving person as well as a great friend. She is survived by her husband Jeff, daughter Caitlin, Karen Mangino (mother), Kenneth Prust (father), and siblings Kenneth Prust (Katie), Kelly Kawashima (Fred), Kirk Prust (Tammi), and Kraig Prust (Lisa).
The family would like to give special thanks to Elizabeth M. Prystas, MD and her staff at Wasatch Hemotology. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation in memory of Kim Darby.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 5, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (11800 South 300 East). The Rosary will be said at 11:00, Mass will be at 11:30, and a reception to follow. Online condolences www.broomheadfuneralhome.com

Not sure what to say?

Kim most likely fought her battle with breast cancer with "true grit". I just watched the movie for the umpteenth time. I see by the many comments she was a lovely person.

Rest in peace Baby Sister !!

The first time I saw Ms. Darby on tv, I fell in love. She was the cutest and prettiest girl, I had ever seen. I miss her innocent smile and how seriously she took to her acting career. The world lost one special lady when she passed. I will never forget her and still watch some of the old westerns with her a spooky movie, I think was “ Don’t be afraid of the dark” she was wonderful. I hope there is a heaven, cause when I pass this earthly realm, I want to meet her in person. Her family...

SHE WAS GREAT IN TRUE GRIT ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS

Such a beautiful person and a great actor.
My deepest condolences from my heart.
One Love....
