Kim Passed away peacefully with his wife Dianne at his side January 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with asbestoses in his lungs.
He was born to Kimball and Romaine San Clemente in Bremerton, WA. He leaves behind his best friend and adoring wife Dianne, sons Jason (wife Amy) and Christopher, 3 grandchildren Kieley, Cameron, and Styles, and 3 great grandchildren Preston, Sydney, and Octavia. His sister and brother-in-law Patty and Loren Woodward and their 2 children Ryan and Megan, and his brother-in-law Gary Parks, his son Alec Parks and great-nephew Logan Parks who reside in California.
His family moved to Seattle where he was raised and attended Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1965. He ran track. He was a member of the Demolay and was the altar boy for the Bishop at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He later joined the Navy and served in Vietnam from 1967-1971. His exposure to asbestos, and agent orange, contributed to his illness and death.
Kim met his wife Dianne, when he was 11 and she was 9. They lived next door to one another and many years later reunited, fell in love, and were married in 1984. When they married Dianne became stepmother to Jason and Chris, giving her the beautiful loving family for which she had always prayed she'd be part of someday.
Kim retired from Burlington Northern Railroad where he was a pipe fitter foreman and was a proud member of U.A. Local 32.
His passions included salmon fishing, soccer, and golf. Kim was an avid fisherman, a member of a Steelhead fishing group, taught down rigger fishing at the UW, and at Seattle boat shows in the 1970's and 1980's. Kim played and coached soccer for over 20 years for both boys’ and girls’ soccer teams. He played soccer most of his young adult life. He was a volunteer coach at Northshore Soccer Assoc, Bothell, WA; Stanwood Camano Youth Soccer, Camano Island and lastly, Northshore Beach Youth Soccer in Ocean Shores. He golfed and was a member of the Camaloch Men's Club, on Camano Island, Ocean Shores Men's Club and Portola Country Club Men's Club in Palm Desert CA. He golfed and volunteered for each of those organizations. Kim gave so freely of his time and love, helping whenever and wherever he could.
Kim and his wife Dianne were accused of being nomads because they moved so often. Living life to the fullest and experiencing new adventures with every move. Those moves included Washington and California.
Kim was a gentle man, passionate, loving, giving, compassionate, and very funny. He deeply loved his family.
His Celebration of life to be announced later. And in lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Northwest would greatly be appreciated. The care he received from this group was beautiful and loving. Kim will be missed.
