Dear Scott and family, I was so sorry to learn yesterday of Kim's passing. She was such a dear friend in our college days and a light in the lives of those who knew her then and ever after. I was glad to reconnect with you several years ago and was sorry we lost touch recently. Knowing of Kim's illness, I kept you all in my thoughts and prayers, even though I was unable to track you down and wondered about Kim's situation. When a mutual friend forwarded me the obituary yesterday, I was sad and relieved. I mourn the loss on earth of our wonderful, joyful, compassionate and insightful Kim. Hugs to all of you. At the same time, I am glad her suffering is over and she joins the souls of light in the presence of our Creator.

Ahhh, Kim. I never made it out to see you before the end. I will look forward to seeing you in the beyond.. . . My sympathy to Scott, Jenna and my namesake, Kate. I was so fortunate to be Kim's roommate our first two years at Georgetown, and for a year after we graduated, and we had some crazy times together. I will always hold those memories dear. I know she'll be watching over all of you.

Our hearts are broken. I cannot begin to choose a favorite memory...she helped create memories for so many. She has been the heart of our little group of Yuyu sisters. She has helped sustain the treasured bond our daughters all share. We became mothers on the same room 533 just seconds apart...13 1/2 years ago. Every year as the Yuyu sisters gather, we have transcended the bonds of friendship to become sisters as well. Our hearts are heavy, but are with Scott and Jenna and Kate during this time. We are here for you. We love you and will miss her so.

Scott, Jenna, Kate
It has been too many years since we all had a delightful lunch together in Davis, CA; but I recall it well, and was soooo impressed at the. values and guidance in life that Kim and Scott were obviously providing you - Jenna and Kate. I know that their wonderful guidance has continued since, and will be the values that will most form you throughout life. And, that is the best we can give in life; the strong values that form good people.
I wish much, much comfort to each of you, in memory of Kim.

Dear Scott-Words cannot express my sympathy for you, Jenna, Kate, Melanie, Norval, LaDonna, and Kim's Aunt. You, your daughters, and immediate family were Kim's world. She was so incredibly strong. Her love for you and those girls kept her going longer than most anyone could. I will miss her sweet smile, compassionate heart, laugh, witty sense of humor, and her sisterhood in Christ. You are all so loved! "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall inherit the kingdom of God." Hugs and many prayers! Karla
