BROWN, Ms. Kimberly Jean-age 53, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 3, 2017 with a 10:30 am family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Rev. Lissus Walker officiating. The final resting place for Ms. Brown will be River Rest Cemetery, Flint, MI. Calling hours are 12:00 noon - 6:00pm Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.
Ms. Kimberly Jean Brown was born February 27, 1963 in Flint, MI, the daughter of Wendall Counts and Sandra Gamble. Kimberly attended Flint Community Schools and was a graduate of Flint Northern High School class of 1981. She previously worked for Howard Johnson Hotel. Kim loved writing, cooking, listening to music and spending time with her family.
Ms. Kimberly Jean Brown leaves to cherish her memory: children, Briana (Christopher), Brandis and Brendon Brown, Delana Kidd, Rodreka and Kendreka Harris, Destini and Ferrian Jefferson; grandchildren, Eriana Rogers, Keonta Jones, Cedric and Cieara Simpkins, Kamryn and Kynnedi Fleming, Brandis Jr., Destiny and Ameia Brown; Deron Croom, Antuan Jones Jr. and Ahnariah Kidd; mother, Sandra Brown-Gamble; father, Wendell (Janet) Counts; brothers, Jeffrey Brown, Wendell Counts Jr. and Armon McBride; sisters, Yolanda (Horace) Johnson, Kendra (Bruce) Goodman, Lisa Counts- Stallings (Reginald), Angela Allen, LaRhonda Counts, Wendy Counts-Thomas, Cicely Counts- Smith (Derrick), Ebony Haywood, Ashley (Shelton) Lynch, Aerial and Akeyia McBride; uncles, Douglas Jr, Charles, Juan and Michael (Marcella) Brown; aunts, Reita (Lenell) Vance, Karen and Donna Brown; special sons-in-law, Christopher Castleberry and Kenneth Fleming; special cousin, Courtney Brown; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Jawan Jackson.
She was preceded in death by: children, Brandon and Brittney Brown; brother, Charles Brown; grandparents, Douglas Brown, Jean Brown and Alberta Counts; uncle, Maurice "Shuggie" Brown.
The family would like to express special thanks to Hurley Medical Center 4th floor CCU, special nurse Jessika, Davita Dialysis, special nurse Kendra and all our family and friends who showed their acts of kindness during our time of bereavement.
My heart is so so broken I've been looking for you for a couple of years now. You were such a good friend and neighbor, I can recall so much laughter we shared on several occasions I will always love you I know I'm late but I had to give a public acknowledgement sending my love and prayers as well as my forever and for always
