Not sure what to say?

Kimberly Cassidy was my favorite teacher and truly the one that made a lasting impact on my life. She was my second grade teacher and had even moved to third grade to stay with her class. She taught me a love of learning and reached out to me when no one else did. I am truly saddened that my first attempt to reach out after all these years has lead to an obituary. Rest In Peace, you were a remarkable woman and the mark you left on this world will not soon be forgotten.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Kim's passing. I can still picture her in her classroom when she taught third grade. Although I teach at other schools in the city my time at birdneck is my favorite. Kim was so passionate about teaching

Kim was my friend the minute I met her. There was never a secret I didn't share with her. We didn't have the same views on many things; but we shared lively debates on all kinds of subjects and sometimes changed each other's views. She was fancy, I am plain. But we truly enjoyed each other's company. I will miss our calls just to check. I will miss our trips to the movies;and I'm not sure I will ever be able to watch the Oscars again without our lively back and forth quips. She has left a big...

Kim you touched soo many of our children's hearts teaching. They will never forget the times they had in class with you.

Kim I will never forget you! We shared so many good times and adventures in our carefree younger days. I hope you are in heaven dancing to New Order and Depeche Mode. ❤U my friend

Kimber brought so much happiness to my life and the lives of everyone she met. I am going to miss her so much. She was a true example of the saint francis prayer and taught me to be a better person. I am so heartbroken and will miss her but I know she would want me to use her death to make myself stronger. I love you Kimber rest easy thanks for everything. Knowing you was such a blessing. Until we meet again sweet angel.

I knew Kimber only a short time but in that time she gave of herself too so many she struggled with health issues but always smiled and cared for others she brought light where there was darkness she will be missed by many never forgotten, Rest In Peace no more pain ! God Bless your journey !

I remember when Kim joined us on a Nags Head vacation shortly after a trip she had taken to Africa with other teachers. She was so excited and told so many fascinating stories about her trip.

Kim, you have always been so sweet and kind to me and to Jack, Melissa and Josh. When I lost Josh and Jack, you reached out to me which meant a lot. I know that along with your Mom, Jack and Josh are looking out for you now. You will be missed.
