Kimberly Meagan Craig died unexpectedly on Friday, April 22, 2022. A lifelong resident of Post and the surrounding area, she was 37. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend.
Ms. Craig was born on May 10, 1984, in Lubbock, to Al and Sherri Craig. As a child, she loved spending time at her grandparents’ farm outside Post. She enjoyed being outside, playing games, driving four-wheelers and puttering around the workshop with her dad.
She was an honors graduate of Post High School, Class of 2002. She attended South Plains College.
Ms. Craig always had a flair for the creative, whether that meant sketching and painting or later graphic design and photography. She was fun-loving, adventurous and outgoing. She was first and foremost a stay-at-home mom, but more recently she was employed by Post Automotive.
She was preceded in death in 2007 by her mother, Sherri Craig, whom she adored. She is survived by her four children, Devon McClain, Kahl Yarbro, Jaxon Yarbro and Kassie Clay; her father, Al Craig (and Christie Curb); her brother, Christopher Craig; her grandmother, Patsy Craig; and her aunts and uncles, Joe (and Kellie) Craig, Bob (and Susan) Craig, Trish (and Sam) Canon, Ricky Bishop, Lee Schoolcraft and Renee Schoolcraft.
Visitation is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at Hudman Funeral Home, 615 W. Main St. in Post. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, at Grassland Cemetery.
