Kimberly Lynn Bauer, age 59, of Stockton, IL passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Lena Living Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 15, 1963 in Moline, IL to the late Truman and Kay (Hellebuyck) Meier. Kim married Jay Bauer on August 2, 1986 at Christ Lutheran Church in Stockton.

Kim was a 1981 graduate of Stockton High School. She graduated from Highland Community College and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia University. She had worked as an Art Teacher for the Stockton Schools for 20 years. She also owned Artwork Studios where she hosted paint and sip parties. During the summer months she ran an art program at the Stockton Park. Kim enjoyed gardening, cooking (especially holiday meals), convertible rides with her husband, and her dogs, Piper and Luna. Most of all, Kim loved her family, especially her new granddaughter, Presley.

She is survived by her husband, Jay Bauer; her sons, Drew (Fiancé, Abigail), Dillon (Erin), and Austin (Partner, Marcie); her granddaughter, Presley; and her special Aunt Jane (Larry). She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant brother, Thomas.
