Not sure what to say?

It's hard to believe that it's been over a year since I last called you "Mayor". There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you and miss our moments here together in the Mayor's office. It was such an honor to work for you and to learn from you. I still come by and "talk" to you each week as you rest peacefully and I know that you are watching over me and your family. My life was so blessed by you. God bless you always, Mayor.

Congratulations sir on your OUTSTANDING, DEDICATED service to the United States. I was privileged to attend the services for Mr Combs. The turn-out was evidence this man was loved and admired by many people. My observations are that he was a great man, father, and grandfather. His surviving family is now the testament of his accomplishmentsg; and a glowing testament they are!

Loving thoughts to all.

Dear Mrs. Combs, Cathy, Bob, Carol, Ken, and Francis,
Kit and I would like to extend our sympathy. The last time I was able to see you all was when mama was in the hospital. Your dad pulled through. I'm sorry we couldn't make Mr. comb's funeral, we wanted to be there for you the way you were for us. It's hard. I have great memories of your dad. I can see Beauty Belle greeting him in the driveway when he came home from work. He was always friendly to us kids. He was a great mayor...

Carol...you & your family have my sympathy in the loss of your father.

Carol, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. May your many memories be of great comfort.

Mrs. Combs, Cathy, Bob, Carol, Ken, and Frances--Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of Mr. Combs. I have many fond memories of Mr. Combs growing up on 55th Street. I even had the opportunity to baby sit a few times. Mr. Combs was a very kind and caring person. He was a good father and a great family man. You must all be so proud of all of his lifetime accomplishments. He was a great mayor for Gulfport and he will always be remembered as a strong leader for our city. He will...

Dear Combs Family, Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family . Mr Combs was a great man and a great Mayor to our city while he was in office . He will be missed .
