Not sure what to say?

Kip was my hero when I was 9 years old and excited about drumming in 1967. In retrospect he was a saint to make so much time for a little kid while going to college (and falling in love with a beautiful woman!) He would be glad to know that drumming remains part of me and I actually still use the very Gretsch set he had in college. My best to Roxanne.

I attended U of Albuquerque back in 1976-77 and took a few classes under Kip. He was a great teacher andca warm, kind, funny man. I mentioned to him I'd seen him in one of his movie parts and he waved it off as something he didn't want to remember. I've thought of him often over the years. He was a positive influence in my life and career.

For this returning UNM engineering student, Kip´s manner and voice in the morning meant the difference between success and crazy. Calming breath of fresh air... thank you Kip for your service... a genius beyond doubt.

So sorry to hear of his passing! I knew him through my high school drama teacher, and through his work at the former University of Albuquerque, and then elsewhere in theatre. And of course, through KHFM. He was of invaluable help to me in the first mainstage Vortex show I directed, when I needed samples of lots of classical music, in the days way before music was so accessible on the internet. Thank you, Kip, for everything!!! R.I.P. with beautiful music surrounding you!

My amazing, wonderful, brave grandfather. Such a bright soul always smiling and happy to see people. Making people laugh or smile was one of the many things he was good at, I remember his Donald Duck voice was one of my favorites always made me laugh. I will never forget how much he loved sweets or anything chocolate and he was happy sharing some with everyone. Truly someone I look up to.

Driving to work each morning, my day was enriched by Kip's music and personality. I will miss him and God bless him and his family.

Love you dear brother Kip Allen. RIP. Always in our hearts, in the sky, in the music. Presente!

I enjoyed Kip´s stellar broadcasts for his musical choices, witty comments, and sweet humanity. Then I was lucky enough to conduct a historic preservation effort with him, Roxanne, and their neighbors. It was delightful making their acquaintance and spending some time with them. RIP, Kip. Thanks for all the joyful noise. And I offer my sincere condolences to Roxanne and all who loved Kip.

Kip Allen was the host of the best classical music radio program anywhere by anyone, but more importantly he was a gentle and beautiful spirit. The world will never be the same without his gracious and generous presence. He was truly a prince.
