I have very fond memories of Father Hanson from the time he was associate pastor of St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco. I worked in the rectory and served Mass in the cathedral. Father Hanson was always a gentleman. Kind and hospitable. A very professional and polished man who was able to bring his professional experience to the service of his priesthood and to the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
