Not sure what to say?

I was 10 in Minnewaukan, North Dakota and lived with my grandparents just down the 'alley' from Doug and Gloria Butterwick. I asked Gloria if I could take little Kirk for a walk in his stroller. I was a regular after that, walking him whenever I could. Probably pretending I was the mom.
I remember Doug and Gloria being such a handsome couple and, of course, wanted to be just like them when I grew up. Also vowed that when I had my own little boy, his name would be Kirk, and it was. ...

Just a Quick Note:
Thank you so much for your condolences. We all really appreciate hearing from our and Kirk's old friends. We are grateful for your love. ToDavid Greer - do you know that you are in one family photo here - towards the bottom - along with Kirk, Kyle & Kimberly, you & I are in our church choir blue & white robes!
Best wishes to all,
Kristi

Kyle, Kristi, and Kim, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Kirk. I have fond memories growing up as your neighbor. I always looked up to Kirk and your mom and dad. Growing up he was like a big brother to me. Kirk always took time to coach us younger ones on how to play the games. We had some great times playing baseball, football, and basketball, between the two houses. When you moved to your Pachappa house we lost contact, however Kirk and I did reconnect for a time in the mid-seventies....

Kristi, Kyle and Kim, I am so sorry for your loss of big brother Kirk. One thing I know for sure is that he really loved his Butterwick family and was so proud to be a part of it. Kim, I distinctly remember him talking about how proud he was of you for so many reasons.... especially your golf swing. I also have memories of Kirk as being attentive, generous and kind.
I love all these great shared photos. They bring back a lot of good memories not just with Kirk but the...

Dear Kim, Kristi, Kyle and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother, particularly during this time that prevents you from being together. Thank-you for sharing the photos. They are such great memories of Kirk and the Butterwick clan. Love to you all.

I will remember Kirk as generous and confident. Here are some photos of an impromptu sailing adventure hosted by 'Captain' Kirk, when his little sister, Kim, and her BFFs were enjoying a So Cal reunion. No doubt he had...

Dear Kristi, Kyle and Kim. Im so sorry to hear about your big brother Kirk. I have carried such wonderful memories in my heart of Your whole family.I remember the fun and delicious dinners I had at your Colbath home and the whole neighborhood playing in your front yard. I was so sad when you moved away. My deepest condolences, Suzanne Gormley
