I was so sorry to read of Kirkes passing. I really hoped that he would be able to enjoy this retirement. I was hired by Verne, Kirkes dad in 1955. Kirke inherited me when he came on board as treasurer. I've always been so grateful that Kirke talked me into becoming his Chief Deputy. It really enhanced my retirement. Kirke and I retired together in 1996. I stayed retired, he didn't.Kirke was a great boss. He was a good listener, understanding and always fair. I'm so glad that he got to...

Patti and family. My thoughts are with you as you go through this difficult time. It was very evident, you had a loving and happy marriage.
My fond memories of Kirke are our "Porch Chats" at Tulare.

Mr. Sievers taught me general business in the 70's. So much fun and I learned too! The last day he pulled me aside and told me thank you for getting your friends thru this class. He never missed a thing. RIP. A life well lived. So sorry for your loss

Dear Patti and family,
I know you are all so sad to be missing your husband, dad, grandad right now. And there are so many of us feeling the loss of Kirke with you. I have a lot of fond memories of him over the years. I could see right away when I befriended Jocie (30 years ago!?) what a wonderful dad she had. He was always there for every family function, while still being present and active with his career and community. I loved his big heart and sense of humor, though early on it...

Mrs Sievers
Mr Sievers was my teacher for my business classes, including DECCA at Marysville High School. He was a wonderful and caring human being and very much lived teaching. Mr Sievers made learning fun!
I also was hired as your babysitter a few times.
I have many fond memories. I also was at the courthouse niece and had the privilege of running into him and we had a short was lovely visit.
My prayers to you and your entire family.

I worked many years with Kirke starting in 1978 the first time then again starting in 1982. I spent many hours working with Kirke while I was President of AFSCME Local 1811-CA. We were also great friends who had respect for each other.
