My heart is breaking. I only had Dr. Carter for one class at MUW during the summer between my sophomore & junior year, but it was so influential in my life. It was his famed Civil War class . . . and I fully credit him with my joyous conversion to all things Southern.

Kit, Cookie & their boys had a tremendous influence & impact on my life in a variety of ways when we were all in Columbus, Mississippi. Oddly enough I never had a history class either from Kit or from Cookie, despite being a W student when I first knew of them.
