Kit Charles Klinker

Just read Kit had passed in the Columns, I guess that says a lot about what we old farts read these. I worked with Kit while he was at the Koll Company. Did not stay in touch but would run into one another here and there over the years for a cup of coffee or a beer.
Not sure I am able to conceive the great smile, fabulous laugh and eternal bright eyes are now forever a memory. Never met Wendy or the tall ones (we at 5'4" notice such things). I am glad for him he had such a family and...

Husky football games, a VW bug, the Puyallup Fair, Indianola, Laura Nero, Seafair, Sun Valley...all fond memories of Kit and the Seventies. I haven't see Kit in years but I will always remember his bright smile and love of life. One of the really good guys, gone way too soon. My heartfelt sympathy to Wendy and his kids and to Churck, Patty and Jeff. RIP my dear friend. You will be missed!

Kit was a man I had hoped to know better as I have been sending him vacant land properties in Kenmore, Kirkland, Bellevue and Redmond for the last 8 months and we spoke on the phone several times and exchanged text messages and though we never put a deal together he was always kind and responsive to me. Kit was a Sumner man, a Beta man, and a family man. I will always thank him for getting me into the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at U if W. Kit had lifelong friends from the Beta house, and so do I, thanks to Kit. I remember him coming to the front door of our Sumner house, asking "Is Kathi here" and of course she always was. My sister, Kathi Duffy Koch, and Kit were inseparable friends in high school and well into their college years. We both are deeply touched and saddened by the loss of this wonderful man. Kit spent many an evening in the Sumner Duffy home and, later, in the Delta Gamma house waiting for sister Kathi to make her appearance.
