My father bought his first Morris Minor from Mr Qvale's organization in 1954. For me as a small boy that was a bellwether event, the beginning of a British car hobby, avocation, and ultimately a 32 year career in the industry. Much thanks.

Kjell Qvale was a total class act. I knew him because of his involvement in horse racing...as an owner/breeder of horses and as the head of Golden Gate Fields. He was a true gentleman to work for and around. I have fond memories of him standing by the rail near the winner's circle when he had a horse running and nervously rubbing his hands together before or even during a race.
