Not sure what to say?

Only happened upon this page now. Much saddened by Klaus' untimely passing. We were friendly. I knew him not only as a fellow German, but was his contact as buyer and publisher liaison at YBP Library Service (formerly Yankee Book Peddler) in Contoocook, NH until my retirement late 2004. One of the nicest people in our industry.

Dear Alice --
I only learned today of Klaus' death. I am so sorry. I first knew Klaus in the 60s, especially when he worked for Springer, and as a friend of Gerd Fischer whom I knew from his year as a grad student at Johns Hopkins. Klaus' death is a great loss to ethical math publishing, and certainly to all who knew him.

My sincere condolences, Charles Pugh

Dear Alice,

My looking around the internet on publishing made me think of the time I spent housekeeping for you and Klaus in your beautiful Waban home in the late 70s. I am so sorry to learn that Klaus has passed away, as I know how close you were.

You and Klaus had a unique and great partnership and I well remember how hard the two of you worked on your business. I had always thought your life was nuts, but wonderful, too. I also remember with a laugh how Klaus was always...

Dear Alice,
With great sorrow I knew that my old friend and publisher of my two books untimely passed away. He was the first person who has found my small brochure about Riemann written in Russian and suggested to translate and published in English. This project was very successful and the third edition was published . The second book Modern Mathematics in the light of Fields Medals was a great adventure and was published in AKPeters and now also was published in Russian and Japanise. Now...

Dear Alice and Peters family
I'm sorry to hear of Klaus' sudden death. He achieved much, and, with you, contributed greatly to the world's mathematical and computer science publications.
I wish you a long life.
David

Dear Alice and family,
We will remember Klaus' contributions and achievements rather than dwelling on sadness over his loss.
With sympathy,

Alice,

I am so very sorry to hear that Klaus is gone. What lives on is the amazing intellectual legacy of the many books that he and you made possible together...

Klaus was a great friend to me and to the entire computer graphics community. It is a great loss. My deepest condolences.
