Not sure what to say?

Just learned of the passing of Klaus via the June exhibition announcement. He taught a photography course @ UMASS which I was honored to take - he was a really gifted instructor, so supportive and gentle and very inspiring, bringing out the "visionary" in every student in the class (note: he was technically gifted too). The photography studio became a wonderful creative oasis for many of us. When we had our student exhibition, we named it "Klaus's Kids" because we were so proud of being his...

Klaus, The most handsome man on earth. Friend, artist. Dear friend, oh, how I loved you. M

Klaus - your generous and creative soul remains to light the way for artists in particular and gentle humans everywhere. Safe journey, dear Klaus, wherever you may travel.

Klaus, you saw the world in all its complexity, with all its fragility. You will always have all of our respect and regard.

Brother Klaus, Thank you for showing up as yourself and being my dear friend! Ruby or as you would say "Rubski"

A gentle soul and a great artist. (Klaus was a secret guru of mail art among many other things.) Miss you and Hector The Defector.

Dear Klaus,
I can't believe it was one week ago when we all had dinner together. Little did we know that it would be the last time that we will ever see you. We will cherish that memory forever. You have touched us with your gentle and kind spirit and will always remember you. May your new beginnings bring happiness and joy as you move on. We love and miss you dearly,
Ob & Brenda
