CPL Kory Wiens was assigned to the 94th Mine Dog Detachment, 5th Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Kory's partner and beloved dog, SGT Cooper Wiens (shown with Kory in the picture to the left), patrolled by his side. They died together in a bomb blast in Iraq.
Reading the book Lucca and wanted to cry when I read about Kory and Cooper,he was the same age as my
