CPL Kory Wiens was assigned to the 94th Mine Dog Detachment, 5th Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Kory's partner and beloved dog, SGT Cooper Wiens (shown with Kory in the picture to the left), patrolled by his side. They died together in a bomb blast in Iraq.

Kory & Cooper made quite a pair. I was touched by Maurice's video, & I am always so thankful for those that serve this great country. I know they are both in heaven enjoying each other's company. My heart and prayers go out to the family & friends. God bless you. God bless America.
