I met Kris when he lived in North Platte, Nebraska. He had a way of making instant friends and he had many here. We played softball together, although on different teams. A memory I have is after a game one night when we played against each other. He had come up to bat with the game on the line and it was inevitable he would hit a home run and we would lose but I pitched to him anyway.
