SWAMY, Krishna V. - Of Ann Arbor, age 85, died Wednesday, January 15 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.


A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home.


Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.


Krishna was born on June 4, 1934 in Muddenahalli Village, India.


On June 2, 1955, he married Subbamma in Bengaluru, India. Krishna was a life member at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Pittsburgh, PA and the Sree Venkateswara Temple in Cary, North Carolina. Krishna graduated from the Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in Bengaluru, India. Later he furthered his training abroad in London, England. After graduating, he worked as a maintenance engineer at the steel plant in Durgapur, West Bengal, India. He immigrated to the United States in 1969 where he worked at United Engineers in Philadelphia, PA. Over the years, he worked for various engineering firms in Louisiana, Texas, New Jersey, Ohio, and North Carolina. He retired as a senior engineer from Bailey Controls in 1997. He loved to travel with his family all over the United States. He loved to work with his hands, working on cars and remodeling several houses both in the United States and India.


Krishna is survived by his wife, Subbamma, a son Narayan and Raji Swamy of Grand Blanc, MI; a daughter Hema Dega and husband of Annapolis, MD; daughter Uma and Jason Bruen of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and five grandchildren, Yash Dega, Bhanu Swamy and husband Nithin Peddireddy, Vishu Swamy, and Neela and Mira Bruen.
