Kristina Nieves

Kris and little Mario were a wonderful pet therapy team for our Caring Hearts Pet Therapy program for 2 1/2 years. They brought such joy to those they regularly visited especially at the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey and the Hershey Medical Center. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kris's family and friends. Kris was so excited to be able to share Mario with others when they needed comfort.

I am just one of so very many who have been blessed to call Kris a friend over the years. She seemed to always have an excitement around her (often about a new eatery) and a refreshing dose of optimism (often about the people she was surrounded by). There are so many fond memories I will hold in my heart and I am forever grateful that she spent some of her precious time on Earth with me.

My dear cousin, you will be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of such a great loss. I had not seen or heard from Kris since 1985, but remember her smile, and laugh as though it were yesterday. I have thought of her often, and so very fondly over these years. I had hoped one day to see her bright smile again. You never know what tomorrow brings, or what may be taken until it is too late.
