Kristine Laura "Kris" Bishop

Kris was a dear high school friend, both in school and in church. I remember when I went to St. Mary´s hospital for an injection. I just sat down, when I heard the nurse verify the patient´s name as Kristine Bishop, D.O.B. 12/17/1952. I couldn´t believe it, but we enjoyed catching up after many years. I always smile when I think of Kris. Smart, funny, always herself.

I´m so sorry to learn of Kris´s passing. She was so brave in her fight against disease. I remember in high school when we went to Stratford, Ontario, and we got back so late she spent the night with me. I scared her with my headgear and we laughed and laughed. She was a woman who never saw the need to be anyone else but herself. She leaves many people behind with good memories. Rest in peace, Kris.

Oh JEB, I´m so sorry to hear about Kris. She was such a fun gal to hang around with. We had lots of fun times together. I especially remember our road trip to PA or NY to see and surprise Sharon and Jane! Then we hit Niagara Falls on the windiest and rainiest day of the year! Like so many others I had the pleasure of knowing Kris as a close family friend. I have so many great memories with her whether it was talking about the Tigers or getting wrangled in to help install an undeground fence around her garden. So sad to learn that Kris has passed. Although it has been several years since I´ve seen Kris, I have fond memories of her positive, smiling personality. Such an accepting, sweet soul. Sending you hugs, Nel, and praying your special memories will sustain you. Kris had the best partner who exemplified pure, unconditional love.

From the moment I met Kris, her smile said it all. She had a spirit about her that made people she came in contact with feel so comfortable. She was a wonderful person, kind, caring and so easy to talk to. She will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts also go out to her friend, Nel and family.

I have many great memories of Kris since I first met her in 7th grade. She was a strong woman and fought hard through all things she encountered. Thinking of you, Nel, and all her family and close friends.
