Not sure what to say?

Dear Marion and Bill,
We are sorry for your loss and are thinking of you and the family. Fondly, Sid and Sally Saltzstein

Kris reached out to me in 1984 with her friendship when I arrived from Iowa to this new city with no family or friends in the area. She was a skilled basketball player and I was getting used to mobility using a wheelchair with a recent injury. Kris drove me to Vegas and to Pomona to play in a regional basketball meets. My skill level did not matter to Kris. What seemed to matter was the thrill of the game. She never worried about what she didn’t want just focused on what she wanted. She...

Kris and I met while playing women's wheelchair basketball. I agree with everyone who has commented on her tenacity and positive spirit. Kris had an ability to be focused and cut to the chase. Her attitude toward life and her energy reflected her ability to appreciate life on its terms. Women's wheelchair basketball was a forum where each one of us could just be ourselves and Kris modeled courage, self-acceptance and determination for me when I needed it most as a newly injured person. ...

Kris is remembered as a generous, giving person, always there to volunteer where needed. Our family's prayers are with Sarah and her family during this sadness. My daughter Christa was part of Kris' (and Sarah's) Destination Imagination group at Parkway Middle School in 2004-2005. Kris did a superb job with mentoring these kids and their projects! Her kind words were always welcome to everyone she knew.

Kris was a good friend in High School. We learned to drive together, she was always there for me and others. She was full of life then and always had a smile even after the accident. We stayed in contact throughout the years and talked at the Holidays, she will be missed. My prayers go out to the Family and friends.

What a full life...my prayers and thoughts go out to the family....you have alot to be proud of.

Kris will be remembered as an extraordinary human being. Her tireless efforts, unique talents and outstanding dedication for many years made the Junior Wheelchair Sports Camp hugely successful.

Dear Unsicker family,
Please accept our sincerest sympathy and prayers during this difficult time. I grew up at St. Lukes with Kris and was even confirmed with her. I always admired her and her family. May God's peace which passes our human understanding abide with you all.
Sincerely,
Connie Saler Henkel and family

although we knew kris for a short time, we admired her tenacity for living under such difficult circumstances. may her spirit live on and inspire those still on planet earth.
