Not sure what to say?

John and I were out of state, We did not know until recently. We will always remember Kristine, she gave me my first stargazer lillies on my birthday, because we had to work, she spoke of Russian history, she also noticed that "Kitties" were better than "people". She enriched our humble lives so much!!! Dammit!! She will be missed soo much more more than this lame entry could ever express... God bless you Simon, and the "kitties" The world is a colder place now.......:(

Kristine made an indelible impression on me. Our friendship began in 1972, when we worked together at The Rubaiyat. Passionate, brilliant, sardonic, kind ... Kristine took me under her wing. One morning in the wee hours she introduced me to a wonderful, ethereal piece of music ... Pachelbel's Canon. I have some wonderful photos of her. Peace to you, Kristine.

Simon

I remember Aunt Kris as being otherworldly. I remember as a bohemian in the best sense of the term; Creative, interesting and unconventional. From the mementos that adorned her apartment I only imagined the stories she had. The short time I had with her sparked my imagination and my love of art.

Simon,

My earliest memory of my Aunt Kris was the time my parents stopped at a house to pick her up. She got in the backseat with me and opened her jacket to reveal the first kitten that I ever saw. I remember thinking to myself “I didn’t know cats could be that small!”
She wouldn’t hesitate dropping what she was doing to sketch me a quick drawing for me to color. She also gave my father The Beatles’ Revolver when it came out which of course became mine. Aunt Kris was also...

I am so sad to learn of Kristine's passing. How I enjoyed her! She would stop in my store and we would talk clothing and cats and travel. She would tell me that Simon was her "dear, sweet man." The neighborhood will miss her. I miss her.

Dear Simon,
My heart goes out to you and to everyone who loved Kristine. Her passing marks the end of an era in Ann Arbor.
With sympathy, sadness, and wild, wonderful memories - Pearson

Dear Simon, I am so sorry to know that you have lost your dear Kristine. I was in town on Monday and was driving right by your house, thinking how I should just stop by some day, as our paths rarely cross any more..... while she was crossing to whatever is beyond this world. Great memories from the Kerrytown Bistro days, the "around Ann Arbor" run-ins(a random meeting at Zola's, a dinner or two at Earle Uptown...), and of course your most memorable wedding reception! Most sincere...

Kristine was a faithful, hard worker at Mosaic Feline Refuge. She will be greatly missed by both staff and kitties!

Although I haven't seen Kristine in many years it is still a shock to learn that she passed away. She was a friend and was an open, honest, sincere, caring person who always thought about others first. I met Kristine when she taught Art History in the Art Department at E.M.U.; we would go to lunch and talk about what was happening in our lives.

She bought food, prepared it, and help distribute it to the homeless. This was just one of many things she did that hardly anyone knew...
