Busselberg, Kurt Moeller
51, passed away peacefully Friday, July 10, 2009, of complications after a short illness at Banner Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. He was born January 19, 1958 in Milwaukee, WS., to F. William and Gertrude Busselberg, and grew up in the suburb of Wauwatosa. He moved to Mesa in 1982 after graduating from Brigham Young University. Kurt is survived by brothers Jim, of Mesa, AZ, Tom of Bountiful, UT, and sister Sheri Ann Busselberg of Mesa, AZ, niece and nephew, Jason and Jennifer Busselberg, and sister-in-law, ReNae, of Utah; as well as many other close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Val. A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ. A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 15 at Mesa 34th Ward Chapel, The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2152 E. Adobe Street, Mesa, from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., prior to the funeral service, which will follow at 10 a.m. Burial to take place at City of Mesa Cemetery.
Kurt Busselberg was a good missionary in the Netherlands, he lived for a while in our house in Groningen.

We were so sorry to hear of Kurt's suddeen passing. He was such a great guy and had such a dry sense of humor. You exactly what he was thinking from just a look or just one word. My sister and I went to BYU with him and have seen him and stayed in touch over the years even being so far away. He was a good friend. Our thoughts and prayers got to his family . Barb and I extend our condolences to Kurt's family. Kurt was a joy to know. He had a great dry dry sense of humor. He was always helpful -- trying to do things for people. He was a keen observer (and commenter!) on politics and policy and was always right (never, ever left!). There is a great gap left in many lives now and many mourn -- but we look forward to greeting him again and sharing a laugh. Our prayers go out to you.

Well, my dear friend, your aches and pains are over with. You are now laughing and skipping (if you want to, of course) with beloved family who greeted you upon your arrival. The sudden departure was a blessing because it saved lingering and prolonged suffering, but it sure gave us a shock and we will miss you terribly. Calm, beautiful, sweet Kurt. I never heard you raise your voice once in the more than 25 years I knew you. I will miss our gabfest every spring. It was a highlight for me....
