Not sure what to say?

My condolances to Kurt's family and friends. I met Kurt in high school. I felt in his quietness a soul-mate. He also loved art.His life represented an cknowledgement and love of the higher mind in all creative forms of expression. After reading his obit-I wish now that we had kept in touch.

I lived in Kurt’s neighborhood as a kid and grew up with him. He set the standard for skiing. We missed him at class reunions. He shines in the hearts of those he knew and was never forgotten. I am saddened to hear of our loss.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

Kirk was a fine fellow who's life wandered as much as his stories. He had frieds from all over who will miss his consistant sense of humor. His efforts on his many projects have touched more lives than those people were aware of. I will miss his smiling face at the Union and the Casino bars, and will laugh with gusto as I remember some of the stories from the Freestone Trolly Stop Saloon which he was the last owner of in the mid 70's. Go in peace my friend, you will be missed.

I didn't know Kurt well, but it was always a pleasure to interview him on KRCB and to greet him when he dropped in to Hamilton Trading Company in Bodega. Always a sunny smile, always a joke and a ready laugh. Happy trails, Kurt. We'll meet on that beautiful shore.

I will miss you Kurt,Your quiet and ready, sparkling smile, no matter where I saw you, endeared you to me.I saw you pretty often as you and I seemed to attend the same events. Your dogs were so sweet and I loved seeing you with them. In fact the last time I saw you, you were with them. Blessings to you and you family who I'm sure will miss you very much too.

I'm so sorry to find out that Kurt has passed away. I met Kurt via the No Spray Action Network in the summer of 2000. I would see him at cultural and political events around the county since and he was one of the sweetest, most enthusiastic guys I know. I knew he was ill, but we never discussed it. He was so positive and warm that it seemed extraneous. I will miss him. He was a bright light and a force for good. The world needs more people like Kurt. Goodbye brother, sleep well.
