My heart goes out to the family! You might not know me, but I was Kurt's colleague at Oracle, and he was one of the best engineers I've ever worked with in my 25+ year long career in the field. He was also always laughing, always taking things in stride, and always finding solutions rather than complaining about problems. He'll be sorely missed! Lots of love and warm regards to the family.
