Not sure what to say?

Dr. Kurt Marquart was a kind, humble, faithful, confessional Lutheran pastor, scholar, churchman, evangelistic, apologist, and friend. He preached Christ and Him crucified. His leadership at the seminary, in his home, and throughout the Synod was always charitable, evangelical, and focused on the doctrine of our justification in Christ, in all its articles. His contributions to the Church are only realized somewhat by us; blessed are the dead who die in the Lord . . . and their works do...

Danny-Karen and the entire Marquart family

Our sympathys are with you and your family - Loss is always hard and we pray that God will heal your hearts. Danny your father touched so many lives take healing in knowing he is with God and you will all see each other again. Gary, Pam, Meg, Ash and Garrett Reinking

May God who gave each of us eternal life through our baptism comfort all of us with the sure knowledge that Kurt is now in Christ's arms having entered into eternal rest!!! He will be sorely missed by the church, but is now one of the Saints in Glory with whom we commune as we partake of Christ's Holy Body and Blood!!

To God be the Glory Forever and Ever!! AMEN!!

I enjoyed talking with Kurt only a couple of times. I knew him best through you, Barbara. He was truly "a man after God's heart" ---a real servant of the Lord. God indeed blessed you with the years you enjoyed together, just as He blessed you with His gifts of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Know that you and your family continue to be in our prayers. With love to you all, Carolynne

I was previleged to hear a number of presentations by Dr. Marquart at the Fort Wayne Symposia, the Chicago Free Cpmference and one Free Conference of Texas Confessional Lutherans at Brenham, Texas. I mourn the passing of one of the most important Theologian of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
He will be greatly missed.

Please accept our Sympathy on your loss. Gods Blessings to the entire Marquart Family.

God puts a man like Dr. Marquart on this earth to inspire, help, and teach people. He did these things to his full capacity, and then some. And from a great man usually comes a great family, and that is definately the case here.To Dr. Marquarts family- I grieve with you in your loss, and pray for the quick healing of your hearts. I will do my part to make sure young Evan knows of him, and how important and great a man he was. God bless.

Professor Marquart was my husband's academic advisor at Concordia, Fort Wayne from 1977-1981. He was a gift to the Church and will be sorely missed by the many lives he touched. We can only pray that God will raise up men as unashamed as he to proclaim the pure truth of God's Word. Our prayers are with his family, the many who will miss him, and the entire seminary community.
