Kurt-POSTULO-Obituary

Kurt Edward POSTULO

Obituary

Passed on Thursday, May 24th, age 57.

Kurt was born in Prince Rupert British Columbia on August 17th, 1954. He is survived by his Mother (Beatrice), sister (Holly) brothers (Shane, William and Paul), son (Theo), daughters (Coral and Marli) and grand-daughters (Makinna and Kaliah). Kurt moved to Vancouver Island in his early twenties with his wife (Bonnie) then settled in Nanaimo for the remainder of his time and raised his three children.

A memorial will be held Friday, June 1st, 1:30pm in the lower gazebo (near the stream) at Bowen Park, Nanaimo. Friends and family wishing to attend are welcome.

"To fear death, my friends, is only to think ourselves wise, without being wise: for it is to think that we know what we do not know. For anything that men can tell, death may be the greatest good that can happen to them: but they fear it as if they knew quite well that it was the greatest of evils. And what is this but a shameful ignorance of thinking that we know what we do not know." - Socrates

Kurt always maintained his curiosity and drive for new knowledge. He found death itself very interesting and considered it an adventure worth taking.

May you enjoy your adventure ''Old-Man.''

This obituary was originally published in the Nanaimo Daily News and Harbour City Star (Nanaimo, BC).

Was shocked to read about Kurt; hadn't talked for years but sending condolences to the whole family and especially to his children...he was a good person, prayers that the memories will be your comfort. Blessings to all. Darlene Wolfe, Prince Rupert, BC
