Not sure what to say?

It's been 5 years since Kurt went on to a better place and I think of him every time something comes up on Face Book about the Saginaw Gears or I see a posting from his lovely widow. You are missed every day by family and friends and those that you kicked their butts. Rest in Peace, Kurt, all your suffering and pain is gone.

First met Kurt while he was playing for the Saginaw Gears; and in later years got a hold of him for some autographs. He said "hell yes" send what got. To make a long story short, Kurt signed everything and sent it back to me "without any postage on the envelope." I said I hadn't received the envelope and he felt so bad he sent out another bunch of autographed pictures. Months after getting this second envelope of autographs I received a call from the USPS Dead Letter Department asking me...

I meet Kurt when I was a busboy at his teamate Ian Turnbull restaurant in Toronto called Grapes. He had left his Toronto Maple Leaf ring in the washroom and I found it. He tried to give me a $100(American) reward but I wouldn't take irmt. He asked what my favorite charity was and told him the Cancer society. He donated the reward to them. A Class Act.

I was fortunate to play with Kurt when living in Atlanta .

Kurt was on the bench when I had my nose badly broken in a fight and when I got to the bench he put up his hand with two fingers spread and wanted to fix it for me . At the hospital it took two hours to stop the bleeding so maybe I should have taken Kurt up on his offer. I will never forget that moment

Kurt was a tough guy and a guy with a great heart . I am lucky and proud to have known you my friend

I hired Kurt in 1984 and we immediately became best friends for life. He was the kind of guy that when you met him you felt like you've known him forever. I originally brought him in to be interviewed out of curiosity, as I had watched him play in Philly during his time with the Leafs, but quickly saw something way beyond my infatuation with hockey players. His gentile spirit, humor and kind manner made him a welcome addition to our team at I&D.

I miss Kurt every day, and pray that...

Played Hockey at Hingham High School with Kurt Walker and watched him play up in Montreal where I went to school and played. Met Kurt coming off the team bus he have me a big hug and he had that great big smile. He looked so happy, I was very proud how he made it to the NHL. He was always well liked at HHS and will be missed for all his wonderful work for Dignity After Hockey. God bless you Kurt and his Family.

Rest in Peace....
