Kurt Olof Wassèn

To the Judy and Carolyn and the rest of the family: I want to express my deepest sympathy to you all. Mr. Kurt has been an integral part of my daily life on Myers Hall as his medication technician. I always looked forward to seeing him and stopping by my door to say "you have anything for me Sonya". He was so kind and I am definitely going to miss his presence. He and Ms. Joan was always kind to me. God bless you all during this difficult time.

Kurt served as the second Chairman of the Kiawah Conservancy Board in its nascent years. He and his wife donated to the organization, the first piece of land for preservation in a natural state in perpetuity. His appreciation of the natural environment as protection of the wildlife of the Lowcountry set a fine example for others.

I volunteered with Kurt at Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary. He was so loved by all the humans as well as our four legged dogs especially Mama Kate. We were all so happy when Kate went home with Kurt. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was such a sweet man
