Adobe Creek Funeral Home - Petaluma Obituary

Our BELOVED Kyle J Emerson departed this earthly life on

May 23, 2025. He was 29 years old.

Kyle was a long-time resident of Petaluma, and was a compassionate and beautiful presence in the community. He involved himself in so many pursuits, from years of Hot Yoga to freezing cold water competitions with his Ice Plunge brothers. He enjoyed marathons and triathlons, hiking in nature and snowboarding. He worked for many years at Lunchette, his fellow workers there, a precious second family in his heart. More recently he enjoyed a weekend job at Griffo Distillery, and his radiant smile was at once both warm and welcoming to everyone he encountered, at work and in life.

A Celebration of Life event was held June 21, 2025, at Griffo Distillery in Petaluma.

He leaves behind (for now) his loving Mother, Tracy, his brother Ian, and his Granny Deb, along with many, many friends. He will be remembered as a sweet soul, who lived authentically aligned with his beliefs of working toward sustainability in the food industry and the environment, supporting community and the arts, and to ending conflict and hunger everywhere. He was, to us, Pure Love, personified.

We will hold you deep in our hearts, always, and meet once again

in that magnificent place of Infinite Knowing.

Not sure what to say?

First of all Tracy I love you with all my heart! Also having a 29 year old son I can’t imagine the loss you feel! All I know is that you are so amazing and I’m so freaking proud of you every day. I loved Kyle whenever I see him. He would run up and give me a big old hug and I didn’t see him that often but he always made sure to hug and give a big smile. He was adorable and he looked just like you I’m here for you whenever you need me just know that! Whatever you need we’re here for you...

Tracy-
Prayers and condolences go out to you and your family. So sorry for your loss.

May he find as much love in heaven as he gave here on this blue green marble we call our planet. When God picks flowers he chooses his best.

The Earth stood quiet the moment I heard you were gone. I became speechless yet filled with so many thoughts. My heart hurts for Tracy and Ian having lost such a beautiful light from their lives. I loved seeing updates on the progress you made in your life, from the young man that I once knew on 7th street. Every picture of you that remains, beams with your loving spirit and gives us something to hold on to forever.

Sweet Kyle you lit up the room with your radiant smile and heart. Thank you for having been part of my company and sharing your care with my staff and customers.
May your spirit be free and embraced with love.
Thank you for having a moment in time with you
