Kyle Knigge 2014

2014

Spring Training, Tempe Arizona 2012

Rest in Peace Kyle. You will be missed.

quick witted, irreverent, tan, miller lite, sun-in, visors, oregon ducks, one-of-a-kind, rough large hands that have opened a lot of beers, gentle, sensitive (especially when it comes to dogs), "are you new?", green van, looking for you while driving by the 125th street grill, running your hands through your hair before you put your hat on, shorts all year round, your one specific christmas/holiday sweater, head of the table, lots of friends, hugging a man who (no matter how much I grew)...

oh kyle the times we had working at dalys.. that was my 1st job and all those partys almost every day after work were very memorable for all of us there. i remember the first time i drank a beer i was desparate to be cool with the group, and i had nothing so you offered me a miller beer.that was the 1st and last time i ever drank a beer.. the thing i most enjoyed about you thru the years was your quick wit and saying it as it is..but why you will be missed is that you were a genuninely just...

It's been several years seen I last saw Kyle, but the good memories will always be there. The youth sports activities at Our Lady of Fatima and Magnolia Little League especially stand out. Kyle also had a unique talent in getting all the other Altar boys to start giggling during mass, typically earning everyone except him a reprimand from the priest. I also will never forget getting a hack at Seattle Prep for something Kyle cooked up, and yes, somehow he escaped the paddle. He touched a wide...

Kyle was my first friend at Our Lady of Fatima and will remain forever. He had the best laugh the best sense of humor and always was the most loyal a friend you could ever have. He was extremely intelligent and sensitive as well. We all were so lucky to have had Kyle Knigge in our lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to his mom Conny and brother Kurt and your entire family.

I remember seeing a tall good looking sun kissed pile of charm arising from a couch amidst a party at the McGavick house. You and Don Sacco were a memorable pair. Your voice, your smile, your sense of humor stood out in the crowd. I remember your kindnesses to a younger anxious me visiting the raucous Knigge household. While I was trying to hold my own with you, Kurt, John, Conny and a wild assortment of friends and acquaintances at the dinner table you welcomed me and made me feel like a...
