Very sorry to learn of this. Growing up just up the street, I feel lucky to have been in the same neighborhood as Kyle. And, although I didn´t realize it then, how great it was to be exposed to the calm, supportive demeanor of his parents, who always made all us kids feel so welcome at their house and basketball court, (even when we didn´t always behave so well). They always tried to quietly steer us kids onto a good path. And into our teens and 20´s we all still spent time together,...

Kyle was 100% dedicated to his volunteer service at the Mount Ida Community Food Pantry. Every week, regardless of weather, Kyle would faithfully pick up donations from an area grocery store for the food pantry. He was a very caring, selfless individual. He will forever be missed.

Kyle was the sweetest, kindest, most caring and most LOYAL friend of mine. We (Todd Birmingham, Jamal Lee, etc.) were basketball teammates from elementary school throughout High School! I would have done ANYTHING for him! A few months ago, Jamal Lee and I met up with him to catch up about life and I´M SO GLAD WE DID! We love him because he was our brother! Kyle, I wish I could have gotten just one more hug from you!I will miss you!!! Love you, Kyle! Donta Barker
