DeClue Family Funeral Home - Potosi Obituary

Kyle Mitchell James Lands of Belgrade, Missouri departed this life on March 17, 2014 having reached the age of twenty nine years, six months and twenty seven days. He was born on August 18, 1984 in Potosi, Missouri at Washington County Hospital a son to Jim Lands and Kim (Eye) Lands. Kyle was preceded in death by a brother Ryan Mitchell Lands, grandparents Marshall "Sonny" Eye, Warren "Snap" Lands, three aunts Barbara Lands, Connie Sue Lands, Phyllis Eye, nephew Brayden Mitchell Lands, good friends Don Lewis and Monica Reed. Kyle was a graduate of Valley High School. After high school, Kyle obtained his Emergency Medical Technician License, pilot license and completed firefighter 1 & 2 training courses, including his Hazmat. He was a member of the TYRO Masonic Lodge #12 A.F. & A.M. Kyle loved life, his family and his community. He had a passion for serving others and would do anything to help. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his parents Jim Lands and Kim Lands of Belgrade; two grandmothers Nelda Lands of Belgrade, JoAnn Eye of Potosi; two brothers Matthew Lands of Belgrade, Justin Lands of Belgrade; sister Miranda Wimberley of Camdenton; three nieces Korianna Wimberley, Madilyn Lands Wilson, Kamden Wimberley; two nephews Matthew Lands Wilson, Dylan Lands Wilson; three uncles Felix Eye, Dennis Lands and wife Charlotte, Don Lands; three aunts Pamela Eye, Elizabeth Gooch, Candace Pashia and husband Ed Jr.; close friend and coworker Zhawn "Zee" Cowin, dear friends Megan Fitzwater, Travis Wilkerson, Maurice Ellis, B.J. DeClue, Chris Parks, Vicki Worthen,; a host of cousins, relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating and Elder Leonard Compton assisting. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Pashia, Wade Pashia, Zhawn Cowin, Clint Lands, Cole Lands and Jake Smith. Interment and final prayers were held at the Scott Cemetery, Belgrade, MO. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
