Kyle Brooks Simonson died in a traffic accident on June 8, 2008. He was born May 2, 1982, in Hanford California. He grew up in Laton and Lemoore. He loved to golf, listen to music, read, and spend time with his family. He graduated from Lemoore High School in 2000 and from Fresno Pacific University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. He moved to Orange County, California, in 2005 to begin his career. While in Orange County he made many new friends and became active in his church, Rock Harbor. He met the love of his life, Chelsea, and they planned to be married later this year.

Kyle was a voracious reader and was training for next year's Los Angeles Marathon. He was also preparing to begin his education to become a Certified Financial Planner. He greatly admired Payne Stewart, Steve Prefontaine and Pat Tillman, becoming a strong supporter of the Pat Tillman Foundation. Kyle often mentioned that his biggest heroes were his parents. He admired their strength, their love of life, work ethic and their commitment to family. He considered his parents to be close friends and trusted advisors.

There were many accomplishments in Kyle's life, such as being a member of a Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team at Fresno Pacific University that was a regional winner. His most notable accomplishment was that he was such a blessing to his parents, his brothers, his fiancée and all who knew him. Kyle was very loved and will be terribly missed. The things he wanted to accomplish in life were to play golf in all 50 states, complete a triathlon, learn to fly an airplane, and be able to write a million dollar check to the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Surviving are his mother and father, Lenore and Joe Simonson of Lemoore; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Ann Simonson of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; his younger brother, Trevor Simonson, of Lemoore; his grandparents, John and Janet Simonson, also of Lemoore; his fiancée, Chelsea Belardo of Costa Mesa; and many other family members, friends and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting all donations be made to the Pat Tillman Foundation in Kyle's name (www.pattillmanfoundation.org).

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2008, at South Valley Community Church, 1050 West Bush Street, Lemoore, CA 93245. Telephone: 559.924.3458

Arrangements are under the direction of People's Funeral Chapel.

We're Chelsea's aunt & uncle, Noelia Belardo & Pete. Chelsea & Kyle were planning to visit us this month, so we could meet Kyle for the first time. My heart broke with the sad news. Praying for Chelsea & the Simonson family that God will comfort, love, heal the hurt.

We are the family of Chelsea in New Jersey where she is Loved by her Aunt and Cousins. His loss is even being felt by her Aunts, Uncles and other cousins in Puerto Rico. Even though we did not have the opportunity to meet him We will forever hold him in our hearts. We will keep Kyle and his family in our prayers, as well as Chelsea. Your family Loves you Chelsea we are here for you.

My heart and sympathy goes out to Kyle's family. I was a first responder to the accident involving Kyle. I notified EMS of the accident while working with the chp officer on scene. Myself and the people helping Kyle, gave him the best chance of survival we could. He was still alive after the accident, and was comforted by a lady traveling with me. he was still responding to us up until the medivac took him away. We were all saddened to hear of his passing.

My condolences to the Simonson Family. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Kyle in March when I had dinner with him and Chelsea (my niece) in Costa Mesa. He was a wonderful guy; very honest, striking personality, great sense of humor, open and true to himself. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kyle's family, friends and to Chelsea.

condolences for the family, friends and fiance of Kyle. kyle was a great friend and will be missed.
