Throughout my 32 years of teaching Reading to middle schoolers, no book has touched me more than When Kids Can´t Read. Dr Beers was my professor in a reading class at the University of Houston. I was asking a question about professional development when she proclaimed that I was ready for the classroom therefore ready for graduation. I was at least 3 semesters out I think.
