Kyoko "Patsy" Iwaki

1926 - 2021

June 2, 1926 - February 13, 2021 Patsy was born on June 2, 1926 in Winslow, AZ and passed away on Feb. 13, 2021, after recovering from COVID in Irvine, CA. Patsy was the 3rd of 6 children born to Kenji and Koume Nomoto. She spoke fondly of playing on the swings or waving to cars passing by on Route 66 in front of her residence with her siblings "Jimmy" Tatehiko, Mits, Shoko, Aiko and Paul.Her high school years were spent in "Camp" (Poston War Relocation Center) where she made life-long friends and was introduced to her future husband Toshimi "Tosi" John Iwaki. They married and settled in Long Beach, CA where they raised 3 children: Billy (Gloria), Lynn and Mike (Teri). After retiring, Patsy spent time with her grandkids Nicole, Kenneth, Erik and Kaitlyn. Patsy will be remembered for being kind, devoted and giving to her family and friends. She lived 94 amazing years and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be on March 1, 2021 from 2– 6PM at Westminster Memorial Park: 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683. Service to be announced.
