Not sure what to say?

Elaine -
I only heard of Parry's passing this week, with the Punahou Alumni Bulletin. I'm sad, maybe not surprised as I am Parry's age and see friends begin to move on. I was his sidekick in the Punahou Variety Show of 1967; I was Marshall Law, he was Sheriff Order, we were Law & Order. Our other affiliation in those years was in Junior ROTC, which he loved yet didn't take too seriously. Parry was the most open-handed, agreeable, relentlessly cheerful - well Midwestern - human I knew...

Dear Elaine, Valerie and Scott,

We were fortunate to work with Parry for many years, when he audited Portland Taiko's books. We always looked forward to his presence in the office, which he warmed with his friendly energy, his smile and helpful manner. Over the years, we got to know him a little as a friend and a donor to our organization, too. We learned of his kindness, open heart, and integrity. We will miss him. We send our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time.

I first met Parry when I joined the Oregon Society of CPA's Governmental Accounting team and I was so impressed with his knowledge of the industry and how he could quote Oregon Statutes from memory. As someone new to the profession, those meetings were a valuable learning experience. I saw another side of Parry when I ran into him at a Duck football game at Autzen Stadium. Was this crazed man in camo garb the same professional I had come to respect? Absolutely and I appreciated him all...

Parry will always be remembered for his dedication to principles; a true, gentle, family man. Peace my brother, in the Bonds of Chi Psi ever.

Dear Elaine, Valerie and Scott,
One of my memories will always be Parry's smile. He always had such good energy and such a good generous spirit. We had a lot of fun planning our defense of a church matter he got to litigate. He had such a good sense of the matter and brought wonderful energy and integrity to the project. I will miss him. My world is now smaller.

Ron

Dear Elaine, Valerie and Scott,

We celebrate the memory of Parry as a good neighbor, good friend, good father and husband. He always had a smile on his face and a good word to share.

We'll miss him, and we're so sorry for your loss. May your family's love and faith help sustain you at this difficult time.

Your Friends,
Pete, Connie, Brian and Michael

Dear Elaine, Valerie, and Scott,
I remember when we first met, when Scott and Kira were in kindergarten. The years have flown by and our children have grown into such wonderful adults. I know how proud you and Parry are of your two. He died way too young, with so many things left to do. The world has lost a wonderful, spiritual man who cared about all people and walked his talk. We raise our glass in a salute to Parry and his joie de vie! We hold all of you in hearts and thoughts as you...

Elaine, Valerie, and Scott: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Parry was a genuinely good and kind person and an all-around good guy. And it is not fair that he was taken way too soon.
