Joe was exemplary working with KU students while I was an advisor to our fraternity at KU. He was always willing to provide counsel and assistance. He was patient and insightful and made things better.

I knew Joe as a fraternity brother and friend. We shared a love for tennis and the outdoors. He was a gentlemen and exemplary person!
He will be missed by many including me.

Joe was one of the finest men we knew. He was such an inspiration. He loved life, God, his family, and his extended community of friends. He was joyful presence - quiet, strong, humble, intelligent, grateful - a pleasure to be around. He will be missed greatly.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Joanie, Mark, Marcia, Mary, Molly, and Meg and their families.

He certainly did. My love and prayers to...
