Marjorie,
I feel just a deep regret that our lives are so busy that I was unable to stop and ask about Lawson when I saw you recently at the post office. The news of his passing has greatly saddened me as I will miss my dear friend and supporter of the Pocahontas Foundation. Many a great sermon was spoken by him at the Pocahontas statue. Please accept my condolences on your loss. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I have many fond memories of Rev. Byrd. He was a kind and gentle soul who always had a smile on his face! He was the Pastor that confirmed me at Asbury UMC. I will be praying for you, Mrs. Byrd, David, Laurie and the rest of the family. I know without a doubt that he is smiling down on all of us. May God hold you all closely during this difficult time.

I have many fond memories of Pastor Byrd. He was the minister who confirmed me at Asbury UMC. He was always such a happy and positive person. I will be praying for the family but know without a doubt that he is smiling down on us. May God hold you all close during this difficult time.
