To Sylvia, and all the Getchel family, our thoughts and prayers go out to you. You were certainly blessed to overflowing to have a Husband and Father like Forbes. I pray your time together remembering him this weekend is full of the same kind of devoted love he shared with you. A great patriotic American hero has passed on to his reward.
It is with much regret that we have "lost" our Compatriot Brother Dr. Leonard Forbes Getchell.
It is with sincere thankfullness that we can say that we have had the honor of knowing and associating with such an accomplished man.

To one of the most awesome men I have ever known, enjoyed speaking with "Doc" when he would walk to downtown past my office. Always had a kind word, a story or two and many laughs. The world was a better place with Forbes around. Have several of his carved bird's that remind me of his many talent's. To Faith & family and all who loved this great man deepest sympathy & condolences.
