L. Gene Thompson

Gene and I first met at work, that first handshake he crushed my hand. That was the start of a long friendship. Years later we worked together as electricians. He was dependable with a strong work ethic, someone you want on your crew.
He was proud of his Norwegian roots and all our family visiting from Norway were invited to Gene and Jeanne for delicious dinners. His nicely framed water colors hang on walls in Ventura and Norway. We will cherish memories of stays in Mammoths, Lake Tahoe,...

We have so many great memories of Gene that we cannot pinpoint any one as he was good at so many thing, including making our lives easier. He was fun, intelligent, talented and I could go on and on, but most of all he was the best friend a person could have. He would do anything for you - he just made the world a better place because he was in it. Our joke was that he was older than me just by a couple of weeks but now I must go on and be the older one and he will be forever the youthful...
