Forty years ago, when I was a teenager in HyannisPort, Dr. Currie treated me in the middle of the night for a front tooth that I had broken from a fall. He never complained that we knocked on his front door and woke him up, pleading for help, and treated me right away. Over the years, he frequently checked out my front tooth "cap" when met on the yacht club pier. . He was a fine person. So is his wife. I will miss seeing him at the Cape each summer.

Such a rare and remarkable man was Dr. Currie. He left no stone unturned on his life's trail. He found his best girl, married her, kept her safe, and had a wonderful family with her. My thoughts are with his son, my friend Dan, and the whole Currie Family. They can take comfort at this time of loss to look back at Rodger's life, a life worth living... and at Rodger looking down at them saying...."Yup, and it was a life worth living because of my family".
