Rest in peace dear friend

It seems just yesterday I was talking to Jim, I miss him so much. This man was and is loved by so many for what he has done to make their lives better and them a better person. Jim gave me the encouragement I needed to face things in my life that I thought I could never face or deal with. He taught me that I was worth something in this world when I thought I wasn't, that I could beat the thing that was taking over my life and eating me alive inside. He gave me support and encouragement to...

Dear family --

Jim and I became friends about a decade back. (Wasn't it a 'wonderful grace' we happened to cross paths?) We chattered almost daily, sometimes only a moment -- sometimes a long talk. We never actually met - we were 'Email pals' on the Internet Super Highway! We had discussions about jokes, vehicles, swimming pools, jokes, law enforcement, antiques and more jokes... (Did I mention, we both liked to laugh and share jokes - HA!)It was with great delight I would open my...

Joan, we love you! I'm glad I was able to know Jim and hope he is at peace. Our prayers are with you. Jeri T.

Oh boy! Joan, Joni, and Chelley....Your father WAS my second father through all of my high school years! He loved to talk my ear off about the new computer he had and tried to even explain to me how the modem worked (to Joni's "Daaad, leave her alone!")I will always remember Big Band music, the way he sat on his knees, the way he wrote, and just his sheer excitement to hear about the things you shared! He was our chaperone to soo many band trips, soo many band parties, and my "get out of...

Joan, Chelley, and Joni;

My deepest sympthy in losing your husband and dad. I will always have some great and some not so great memories of DAD. It's hard to believe that he's gone. Just know that no matter what I'm always here for all of you, just like you have been there for me. I love you all.

Dearest Joan, Chelley, Joni, and family;
I like so many others met Jim online as well about 4 yrs ago. I am an advate "SLINGO PLAYER" too, and that is how we met. Jim has a huge caring heart and disernment for helping women and children in all types of needs, battered, abused or like wise. I got to finally meet Jim and Joan for the first time along with my soulmate Darren, back in May of 2007. We had such a wonderful time, and their hospitality was the greatest. Jim and I had become like...

I, as many others, met Jim on line
about 2 years ago. What impressed me most about him was his sincere
caring and concern for people. He
knew how to measure his wealth: Not
in possessions, but in family and
friends. He has left a wonderful
legacy of loving memories with those
whose lives he touched. Whether it
was an anecdote about going to sing
karoake, or telling of a trip to
a cabin, I looked forward to his
e-mails. God bless him, and you,
Joan,...

No words could possibly console the grief that this family is feeling right now. Jim was a caring and thoughtful man who opened his heart and his home to those around him. He will never be forgotten and his kindness will never go unrewarded! God bless you Roadsmokey!
