Not sure what to say?

I´m so sad to say, I looked up my old history teacher Lacey Bowman from Community High and I found that he passed away. I was wanting to write and thank him for helping enlighten me along my life´s journey. So, I´ll write this now. Taking American History with Lacey Bowman was life changing. He taught us about the Tulsa race massacre which sadly went mostly unwritten in the high school history textbooks during those days. Most of all, he taught us what it meant to be a giving, authentic...

I worked with Lacey at Community High School -- we were good friends -- this news comes as a shock -- he was smart, funny, reverent and the consummate professional -- the world will be dimmer with his passing...

You have me deepest sympathy. He was a really helpful guy. when I use to take care of his In-laws. He love his daughters so so much. Rest in Heaven.

My condolences to my Aunt Hazel, Lacy was a all right guy, I know he will be missed by you and all of the Lee family in NC. May God bless you in these trying times. Love your nephew Tommy Waller, New Haven, Ct

To The Bowman Family and Friends:
I remember Lacey as a child and as an adult growing up in Willow Run and Ypsilanti with my Uncles and Aunt Eugene, Red, Arthur, Neechee, and my Mom Georgia Cofield Family. Lacey was such a nice man growing up..My sympathy goes out to The Bowman Family..Cherish The Memories...
The Cofield and Clay Families

I completed a pre-student teacher practicum under Lacey back in the early 70's at Community High School. He was a great teacher and mentor. Please accept my sincere condolences at this difficult time.

To the bowman family sorry for your loss may god watch over your family

To the Bowman family, especially Mrs. Hazel Bowman. May God comfort and strengthen you at the passing away of Lacey. I've known Lacey for most of my life and knew him to be kind, pleasant and with a warm smile. During our teenage years, although he was older we lived in the same neighborhood where his mother and I still live. My prayers are with you and for you at this time. May you find sweet comfort, peace and love at this time.
