SALTVILLE, VA

Lacy Roger Bowman age 77 passed away on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at his home in Saltville, VA.

Mr. Bowman was born in Russell County on April 1, 1941. He is preceded in death by his parents McKinley Bowman & Frances Stillman; son Lacy Kenneth Bowman; and daughter-in- law Robin Bowman. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He then retired from Brunswick and now General Dynamics with 30years of service as Program Manufacturing Engineer Manager. Lacy was an avid collector and loved antiques. Most of all he was a good man that loved his family.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Jewell Bowman; sons Roger Bowman & wife Becky, Richard Bowman, and Keith Bowman; grandchildren Tera Bowman, Derek Bowman & wife Becca, Willie Bowman, Darius Bowman & wife Holly, & Victor Bowman; brothers Kenneth Bowman, Dallas Bowman, and Delbert Bowman & wife Ruthie; sister Geneva Reynolds; special sister-in-law Mary Rhea; daughter-in-law Victoria Bowman; several great grandchildren, niece & nephews to include Nancy & Gene, and special friends Richard & Barbara Greenwald, and Gene & Mona Higgins.

A celebration service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday November 18, 2018 from the Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Darius Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00PM on Sunday evening at the funeral chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.
