Jones, Ladra Yvette "Lug" a native of White Castle, LA. and resident of St Gabriel, LA., departed this life on January 31, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 10, 1964 to the union of Dorothy Foster and Curtis Scott. She was a retired employee Chase Bank with 21 years of service.


She was baptized at an early age in the Catholic faith and later in life converting to Baptist under the Rev Gregory Coates in Dorseyville, LA. Ladra joined New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church in St. Gabriel under leadership of Bishop Eugene Harris where she served as a choir member, Deaconess and Trustee board member. She was a graduate of White Castle High School Class of 1982 and University of Lafayette Class of 1986 where she joined Delta Sigma Theta Soriety, Inc.

She was married to Roosevelt Jones in 1986. To this union two children were born; Rodarrick and Lamarcus.


She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving and devoted husband Roosevelt Jones, her sons: Rodarrick D. Jones, and Lamarcus D. Jones all of St Gabriel.LA; a step daughter Ciscely ( Chico) Darville; and two step-grand children: Alexia and Anesia ; two sisters: Tammy (Therodore) Cobb, Jr, Gonzales, LA and Karen Singleton, White Castle,LA; one brother Norman "Danny" Eugene Scott, White Castle,LA , Godchildren :Derbigny Handy, Brusly ,LA , and Latoyia Populars, St Gabriel, LA ; three sisters-in-law ; two brothers-in-law, nine aunts and five uncles and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, including Terri Lynn Joseph, Donaldsonville, LA.


Preceded in death by her parents Curtis Scott and Dorothy Foster and grandparents.
