Louis immigrated to Canada from Hungary in the late 1950’s and resided in Winnipeg where he worked in an upholstery store. His business grew and became well known as Modern Upholstery, in which he sold in the late 1970’s and he retired to Winnipeg.

Louis loved to travel and spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona with his wife; Margaret, where he enjoyed many crafts and activities that went along with his retirement years there.

Louis also enjoyed chess and anyone who had the opportunity to have a game of chess with him knew what a passion he had for this game.

Predeceased by his parents, his wife; Margaret, he will be lovingly remembered by his step-sons; William (Terri) Hadley and Robert (Charlene) Hadley, his step-grandchildren; Kerry (Andrew) Peters, Patti (Chris) Walker and Chris Hadley.
